March 8th Meeting

Cold temperatures  --- gusting winds --- & a light snowfall were the order of the day as inclement weather in the North Georgia mountains resulted in a cancellation of  Saturday's planned breakfast and cruise. Sixteen CGBRM members had committed to participating in the breakfast and cruise to the Peach State Speedway and most were very dissappointed when the event had to be cancelled. We defaulted back to a regular lunch meeting and the forecast for severe weather limited the attendance to three Corvettes and several Corvette want-to-be's. Members in attendance enjoyed a good lunch topped off with a BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION for  Angela Allen.

Mike and Angela Allen drove their white C6 from Milledgeville, GA to attend Saturday's events. The CGBRM is really proud of the commitment shown by it's members and this is a good example of how PEOPLE make the club. The Corvettes give us the opportunity to 'enjoy the Corvette Experience' as we enjoy the people that drive them.

We also had the pleasure of having one of our Florida members in attendance. Jim Hepp was spending some time at his Young Harris cabin and joined us for lunch. Jim & Cathy Hepp have two beautiful Corvettes that can be seen on the CGBRM Member's Corvettes page.

Bill Sutton arrived sporting a new jacket that really caught everyone's attention. Very sharp, Bill!

Cruise to Alexander's Store

Alexander's Store is commonly referred to as THE MACY"S OF NORTH GEORGIA. The family owned store has been a supplier of all types of goods for several decades as the ownership has been passed down to the current owner Eddie Alexander. The store has sections that have been added-on over the years and it is a must-see when you visit North Georgia. Thanks to Mike & Angela Allen for several of these pictues.

Donna had to get a hug from Elvis before 'we left the building'!

The next monthly Meeting is April 12th at the Cookie Jar Restaurant in Blairsville, GA.
