Oct. 26th – 28th :  "Vettes at the Village '07"  Corvette Show sponsored by the Playground Corvette Club. Donna and I will lead a caravan to Sandestin for this event. The show will be in a complex named 'The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin". This is a large complex with businesses, living quarters, conference facilities, and many restaurants and shops. You will be able to stay in one of four hotels in the complex where the Corvette show will be staged. There will be a "Meet and Greet Party" on Friday evening of the 26th at Graffiti's in the Village which is within short walking distance of the four hotels. SHOW INFORMATION & REGISTRATION: website www.playgroundcorvetteclub.com is the host website. Details are available by clicking on the picture above the wording 'Click on the image above for Vette's At The Village Information" . Pre-Registration is $15 per Corvette for the show and the Friday night party is $15.00 per person with the advance registration. LODGING:  a) The information is available on the website but I have contacted them for additional details. They are sending brochures and extra details that will be available soon. Following are details that I found out today so that I could confirm our hotel reservations. b) The rooms will be booked at a conference rate using # 21S2L8. They will require one night plus deposit by credit card to book the room(s). c) There are several lodging facilities identified on the Florida club's website with a range of nightly charges. Donna and I have selected one of the four hotels located inside the complex and all four are within walking distance of the show and party locations. Four hotels are available within the complex at $154 per night and they are 1) Observation Point North, 2) Observation Point South, Market Street Hotel, and The Pirate House. I did get them to confirm our reservation will be in the Observation Point North but as reservations are made later they will only confirm that you will be in one of these four locations at the same room rate. These are private facilities rented through the same Sandestin agency. The total cost for our room at Observation Point North is $354.72 to arrive on Friday, October 16th, and depart on Sunday, October 28th. If we get several people to make the trip with us we can always discuss the possibility of staying an extra night or two -- after all -- it is a long trip to Fort Walton Beach, Florida from North Georgia.
