May 12th Corvette Technical Clinic at John Megel Chevrolet
The morning started with a Corvette caravan leaving Blairsville around 8:30 AM and traveling across Blood Mountain to John Megel Chevrolet located just south of the Tanger Mall on GA 400. This was a wonderful event enjoyed by several Corvette owners that had purchased Corvettes at John Megel Chevrolet and by members of the CGBRM. Our members were invited to participate in the technical clinic by Mike Simpson, parts manager and member of the CGBRM. We were treated to some breakfast treats before being introduced to the owner and employees responsible for planning and executing this clinic. After breakfast and a few formalities we moved to the garage area where Corvette technician Steve Olcott gave us a great presentation on Corvette maintenance. Steve kept our interest as he explained issues related to the maintenance and care of Corvettes and then answered questions from the Corvette owners. After the clinic, a group of Corvettes cruised north on GA 400 to Hwy 53 west through Dawsonville viewing some beautiful countryside on our way to Hwy 515. We then traveled north to Ellijay where we had lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. It started raining during lunch and cut short our caravan. Everyone went their individual directions after lunch.
Several Corvettes owners registered their Corvettes for the June 23rd TOP OF GEORGIA All Corvette Show. We encourage CGBRM members to pre-register for the show.
Please welcome two new members that joined the CGBRM after the technical clinic.
